Vitamin C is involved in a multitude of metabolic processes in our bodies.
These include, among other things: the strengthening of resistance and immunostimulation, the hormone and nervous systems, the regulation of the lipid metabolism, the stimulation of the detoxication system, the forming and functional conservation of bones and connective tissue and the acceleration of the closing of wounds. Vitamin C is also the most important free-radical scavenger in the human body and plays a decisive role, for example, in inflammatory disorders and radiation exposure.
